Journals Around the World

I recently watched a documentary about Someguy, an artist, who set 1000 journals free into the world for people to write in and then either pass on to others or send back to him once they were completed.  I think this is an awesome idea.  Just thinking about what you can learn about people from what they could write in an anonymous fashion.  After all, there is so much truth to be found when we aren’t worrying about being dscovered for who we are. We show our real selves.

There are excerpts from journal pages on the project website 1000journals.com filled with artwork and text written by strangers, yet each page gives insight into an indivisual being’s psyche.

While the 1000 Journal Project is not taking new participants, people are encouraged to create their own journals and take the experiment into their own hands.  Information can be found in the sister site 1001journals.com.
